This pattern is written in standard US and UK terms using SC, HDC, DC, DC2Tog, so an understanding of these terms is useful but if you get stuck you can always contact me for help and Youtube has a large collection of tutorials useful for teaching certain stitches. I consider this crochet pattern to be an advanced beginner pattern.
