Chessboard Cable Pillowcase

The pattern includes written instruction (stitch by stitch and row by row) and chart (it is not necessary to read charts). Body of Pillowcase worked in the round, Flap of Pillowcase worked flat.

Pillowcase may be knit in any yarn (weight, fiber etc), this information is just for example:

Appr. size: ~38 cm (~15 ”) square, to fit ~41 cm (~16”) pillow insert, adjustable

Gauge: 17 stitches and 26 rows = 10 cm (in seed stitch)

Yarn: 380-400 meters (415-437 yards) of any Aran weight yarn.

Needles: №4.5 - 5, depends on your knitting tension

Required skills: Cast on (any cast on method can be used, I prefer “Judy’s magic cast on” because there’s no seaming required.), Bind off; Knit, Purl; Increases (Yarn over, kfb, M1); Decreases (SKP, k2tog); Cables (1/1 Left Cross); Work in the round; Seaming
