Cedar Hat

The Cedar Hat and Cedar Mittens are a must-have kit of mid-season accessories. This simple beanie is worked mostly in stockinette stitch. It is embellished by a lace pattern in the form of columns, reminiscent of the tall cedar trees, taking roots at the beginning of the ribbing. The Cedar Hat is worked in the round, from the bottom-up, starting with a brim made by alternating ribbing and lace. The lace pattern continues on the body, alternating with stockinette stitch. On the top of the hat, the lace columns are merged together, forming a star-shaped pattern at the top of the crown.
