This is a simple cardigan for summer in 6 sizes for baby to age 7. As with most of my sweater & cardigan designs it is seamless and knit top down - however this cardigan also employs the contiguous method of adding sleeves developed by Susie Myers. With a smocking section added for interest, it is a fun and easy knit for intermediate or even adventurous beginners.

You will need: 100 - 250g of double knitting yarn - Rowan Cotton Wool used here. 4mm circular needle 4 - 8 small buttons tapestry needle

This cardigan looks great in cotton for summer days and is also a great extra layer for cooler days if knit in wool. This pattern knits up to a standard DK gauge of 22sts to 4cm.
