Product Description
This is a corner to corner crochet version of my Easrer Bunny chart, this version includes a c2c picture chart and a colour-coded written version for those who prefer to follow worded instructions. I have also included a "how to corner to corner crochet" guide for those who might not have crocheted an image. The guide also has a border option for those who may want to add a decorative edge to their finished blanket.
The finished blanket will be a different size depending on the yarn you use (using 4ply gives you a lovely baby blanket size)

C2C Easter Bunny Corner to Corner Blanket
Project Overview
This downloadable crochet pattern from independent designer Instarsia creates a charming Easter Bunny blanket using the corner-to-corner (C2C) crochet technique. The design features a detailed picture chart that depicts an Easter bunny motif, making it an ideal seasonal throw or decorative blanket for spring celebrations. The pattern is classified as intermediate difficulty, suitable for crocheters with foundational skills who are ready to work with graphical instructions.
What Is Being Made
A corner-to-corner crochet blanket featuring an Easter bunny design. This type of project creates a finished blanket that can be displayed or used as a throw. The design is worked from one corner diagonally to the opposite corner, building the image as you progress through the pattern.
Corner-to-Corner (C2C) Crochet Technique
Corner-to-corner crochet is a modern technique that constructs blankets and afghans by working diagonally from one corner to the opposite corner. This method is particularly effective for creating graphical designs and pixel-art style images. The technique involves working in small incremental blocks that build upon each other, allowing crafters to follow a chart similar to cross-stitch patterns. C2C is valued for its ability to create clean, defined color changes and detailed pictorial elements.
Stitches and Construction
The pattern utilizes standard crochet stitches appropriate for the C2C method. Crocheters will follow the provided picture chart, which uses a grid system to indicate stitch placement and color changes. The chart displays numbered rows and columns, with color coding to guide yarn selection and placement throughout the project.
Materials and Yarn Specifications
- Yarn Weight: DK (double knit) weight yarn, which provides a medium thickness suitable for creating defined stitch definition while maintaining reasonable project size and drape
- Yarn Colors Required: Cloud White, Pink, Black, Brown, and Aqua, allowing for the creation of the Easter bunny design with appropriate seasonal coloring
- Yarn Quantities: The chart indicates specific yardage requirements: 1094 yards (primary color), 436 yards, 96 yards, 53 yards, 22 yards, and 15 yards for accent colors
- Hook: Appropriate crochet hook size for DK weight yarn (typically size E/3.5mm or F/3.75mm, though specific hook size should be verified in the full pattern instructions)
Pattern Chart Details
The Easter Bunny picture chart is organized as a grid with 82 rows and 39 columns, providing clear visual guidance for color placement. The chart uses a color-coded system with five distinct yarn colors. This graphical format allows crocheters to easily track their progress and ensure accurate color placement throughout the blanket construction.
Design Versatility
According to the designer's notes, Instarsia charts are interchangeable and can be adapted for multiple crochet techniques beyond corner-to-corner. The same Easter Bunny chart can be used for traditional crochet or converted for knitting projects, providing flexibility for crafters with different skill sets or tool preferences.
