Bunny Tea Cosy and Egg Cosy – Downloadable PDF Knitting Pattern

Our bunny tea cosy and egg cosy is an ideal starter pattern. Start with the egg cosy to get used to the techniques used (cast on; knit; decrease), then move onto the larger tea cosy, which is made using 2 strands of yarn at the same time.

To knit the tea cosy, you will need 4 x 50g of Aran weight yarn in Light Brown, and 1 x 50g in Off White. 5.5mm (US 9) knitting needles and a 65mm pompom maker (or cardboard rings).

To knit the egg cosy, you will need 1 x 50g of Aran weight yarn in Light Brown, and oddments in Off White (this quantity will make at least 3 egg cosies). 4.5mm (US 7) knitting needles and a 32mm pompom maker (or cardboard rings).

We used DROPS Alaska, but you can use any comparable Aran weight yarn, i.e. GGH Samson or Cascade 220.
