This baby blanket is nice and fluffy and so cozy. It would make a nice shower gift and also a great photo prop because of its texture.

This is a very simple and basic pattern, but the yarn does take some time to get used to. The stitches are hard to see in the first couple of rows, but after that it's much easier. Because the yarn is so thick and a larger hook is used, you should be able to complete this blanket in a weekend.
