The pattern undulates using a long loop that makes it look like waves, hence the name.  The stitch pattern makes for an extremely stretchy fabric, especially with a wool blend.  The hat fits everyone in my family from my 6'5\" husband down to my 2 year old son.  The problem now lies in who gets to wear it, or if I have to make one for each of us.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhen decreasing the crown of the hat, if decided to knit 2 together or purl 2 together, I chose to let the leading stitch dictate...
