Billy Blue Tit

The bright and colourful blue tit is a joy to spot on country walks. Billy has wire bird legs so it can stand, but you can make your bird without these if you wish; perhaps add a loop of yarn on top to make a hanging decoration instead. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, this bird is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round), and uses intarsia colour-work. The beak is an i-cord piece worked on two DPNs. For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
