Be Strong

Be Strong is a two-color, boomerang shaped shawl created for fingering/sport weight yarns. Sections of plain garter stitch alternate with mosaic sections in a garter background, making it an engaging, but relaxing knit.

SKILLS REQUIRED: Knit, Increasing (knit into the front and back, Yarn Over), Decreasing (knit two together), Knit through the back loop, Slipping stitches

GAUGE: 23 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4“ in garter stitch, blocked

SIZE: Sample measures: 183 cm wingspan, 108 cm center depth / 72’’ wingspan, 42’’ center depth

YARN Rosy Green Wool Cheeky Merino Joy (100% Merino Superwash, 320 m / 350 yds per skein – 1 skein = 100g/3.53 ounces), sport weight 3 skeins in color A, shown in Blackberry 1 skein in color B, shown in Peony

For my sample I used 2.2 skeins of color A (704 m / 770 yds) and 0.7 skeins of color B (224 m / 245 yds).
