This basket weave pattern has a similar appearance to Grandmother's wicker design from the early 1920's.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI love how pillows change the look of a room so I decorate throughout the year just by changing the throw pillows. Pillows are a great gift idea too (reasonable price to make and light weight for mailing). I like using 2 contrasting yarns for front and back. A simple stockinette front shows off the flower design. The patterned back is a great way to experiment with texture. The square pillow form shows off side trims. Photographed sample was knit from stash with Cascade 220, Dream in Color and chunky alpaca.
