Of course I immediately dyed up some yarn and got to designing. She wanted the socks to look like a slightly underripe banana, so I added little green speckles. The stitch pattern is intended to resemble the ridges on a banana and is intuitive and addictive to knit.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe socks are worked cuff down, with a heel flap and gusset and my Umbrella Toe. The yarn used is a fingering weight.
