This hat is worked in the round, from a small circle at the base of the ‘slouch’, increasing forward to the hat band. I used popcorns, back post stitches and a pineapple stitch to create texture. The yarn is a variegated double knit as I like the way the colour changes throughout the hat. I used Hayfield Spirit DK, but any similar weight variegated yarn would work. The body of the hat is worked on a 5mm hook, changing to a smaller hook after the decrease for the hat band.
