Techniques and Stitch Construction

The Alberni Cowl employs a combination of traditional knitting techniques to achieve its distinctive rustic character. The pattern incorporates bumpy ribs, garter stitch sections, and a hint of lace detailing, creating depth and visual complexity. These techniques work together to produce the characteristic tweedy appearance that defines this design. The pattern has been professionally tech edited to minimize errors and ensure consistent results for knitters.

• Needles: US size 8 (5.00 mm) circular knitting needles, 16 inches (40 cm) long, or the size required to obtain correct gauge.
• Notions: 1 stitch marker and a yarn needle for sewing in ends.
