Adelong Shawl

Adelong Shawl is a crescent-shaped shawl, featuring a delicate lace stitch, a chain-like ridge to add texture and a Stockinette stitch. Finished with a beautiful lace border. It is worked in one-piece top down.

Size: After blocking, approx.: 72.4” wingspan, 23.6” depth (184 cm wingspan, 60 cm depth). The final measurements depend on chosen yarn, needles size, your personal gauge and also the number of times the pattern is repeated.

Materials and tools: • Yarn: ColourMart Yak/Supergeelong 2/14NM 4ply (60% wool supergeelong, 40% yak; 1115 yards(1020 meters)/150 grams or any heavy lace, light fingering or fingering weight yarn. Total yardage - 492 - 656 yards (500 - 700 m) • Needles: US 4 (3.5 mm) 32” (80 cm) or 40” (100cm) circular needles;

Knitting skills: basic knitting skills, lace knitting, K2tog, skp, ssp, p2tog.
