Product Description
This pattern has four sizes for the entire family! The tam is made from four colors of sport weight yarn, but never more than two in a round, as is customary in traditional Fair Isle knitting. It is comprised of ribbing, a border pattern area, and the wheel area in which the top part of the tam is created. Featured techniques include Double Cast-On (Long Tail), Tubular Ribbing, Working with a yarn in each hand, Traditional border and tam wheel patterns, The center double decrease, I-cord finish. The gauge is 6 sts/ inch in two-color St st. Charts, glossary, and reading list are included at the end.
