Hi, my name is Liz. I was taught to crochet by my grandmother when I was around 9 years old. At that time I mainly made copies of doilies that she had made, picking up her patterns as I went along. I discovered Amigurumi in 2012 which opened up a whole new world for me and I love making toys as gifts for friends and relatives’ children. I can't believe I wasted so much time not crocheting, but now I've taken early retirement (in 2018 yay!) I will be indulging this hobby - along with baking and gardening for many years to come - I hope! I love this site and being able to see all the wonderful creations by other crafters, gaining inspiration from them, and I especially love the friendly banter between us and the wonderful new friendships I've made.
