Anne’s mum loves pandas and she asked me to make a panda. I bought two patterns, this Sirdar one and one by Pat to see which creates the best result. I made this one first and I’m halfway through Pat’s pattern so watch this space. The only thing I’m not too happy with is the eyes and making them stand out, I used safety eyes for the first time which make them stand out more than my usual way of knitting them with black yarn but I wish they would be better.

Ohh he is soo cute,he looks so soft and cuddly. I honestly think he is perfect,I wouldn't worry about seeing his eyes as the black eye patches are what we look at. What a gorgeous wee man.

Oh my goodness Helen he is gorgeous and needs no change, I think with Panda's they look better with their eyes hidden in the black patch although you could try a size bigger than you'd normally use, that might help. I once made one with clear glass eyes and they did show up but it went from cute to just looking scary.
