"I made this for a belated wedding present"

This was a lengthy project which wasn't finished in time for the wedding but was still appreciated! It was a pattern by Buggy Barns (now out of print) but I adapted it from fabric stacking technique to foundation piecing. The couple's decor was muted colours and I wanted it to be matching this. However, I wanted them all to be cat colours and had fun planning each one, but inevitably marmalade colours had to creep in! It was definitely a labour of love and won't be repeated, the most complicated quilt I've ever made! Their reaction made it all worthwhile and they wanted it to be a wall hanging so I fitted a hanging sleeve retrospectively 😀

Thank you Susan. I bonded with it for so long, it felt wrong to give it away!! 😭🤣 I bought the pattern 2nd hand off eBay so keep a look out, they are around (quite expensive though)

Beautiful quilt work Jane an amazing wedding gift. You have put so much work into making all the cats different colours and cat shades I’m not surprised they wanted it up on wall. Purrrrfect 🐈‍⬛ 🥰💕

Thank you Maria, I think the fact that their cat would undoubtedly sit on it, if it was on their settee, came into it! 🤣
