My niece and her husband are expecting their first child in a couple of months. For many years, they had a long haired dachshund, but he sadly passed away this year. I wanted to knit something for the baby that would be unique and also meaningful, so when I found the Amanda Berry Stanley the Dachshund pattern (same colouring as my relatives' pet) there was no question I had to make it. I used yarn that I had leftover from another project and the 3.75 mm needles called for in the pattern.
