Hat for me
It seems to have turned cold a lot earlier this year and I cannot find the hat I knit for myself last year so I decided to make another. The pattern calls for "one pound" yarn (no idea what that is) and I am using chunky (because it is so pretty) so I may have regrets. I have downsized the needles in an attempt to knit a hat that isn't a zillion sizes too big for me and hope my thick long hair fills the rest of the extra space in the hat. UPDATE: My hat turned out well, it fits perfect and I very pleased with it.

Thank you for that explanation...I am still not sure what it means though. For example what I don't know is how much thicker is the yarn I am using compared to the yarn the pattern called for? It didn't say "needs one pound of yarn" it just called the yarn itself "one pound yarn". Anyway I will soon find out if using my yarn choice was a mistake or not as I am now finished the brim and should be done by tomorrow. Currently it doesn't seem as if it will be overly big so that is a relief!
