Randomly changing the colors in the stars gives  a really pretty star field with lots of depth.   If desired a yellow\/orange\/gold self-striping or variegated yarn can be substituted for CC1, CC2, and CC3.   Be sure to add up the yardage for the 3 colors if doing so.
