Of course, despite the name, you can knit Rainbow Connection in just one of the colours of the rainbow.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis pattern is fully charted and also includes full written instructions.  The length of the scarf can be adjusted by adding or removing repeats of the lace patterns.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe scarf is knitted in two halves and grafted together at the back neck.  It uses three different lace patterns, drawn from the words of the song.  The first pattern represents Kermit’s froggy feet, dangling in star-spangled waters.
