You can use any thickness yarn, but the size of the blanket and quantities of yarn will differ. A crochet hook appropriate for your yarn, I used a size 4.5 hook.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI used Sirdar Saltaire, for the main pattern I used 7 in Stag and 7 in Fawn, 910m each. The border took more yarn than I was expecting but I’m a loose crocheter.
