The base is Kiss Sock, a wonderfully soft fingering weight yarn, but the colorway, called Serene, is what really inspired me. I wanted to design a pattern that would make the best use of the stunning variegated yarn. I chose mostly stockinette, to allow the beautiful colors to shine, with a simple creeping lace climbing the outside of each foot. They are knit top down, with a German short row heel and a rounded toe.
