You start by knitting the egg that has an opening on the side. After picking up the stitches around the opening the Owl's body is knit from the bottom-up. The head is worked separately and is stitched to the top of the body. This is the only seam in the entire the toy.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe ears, wings and feet are picked up and knit on. Safety eyes are used for the sample but are optional. Embroidered eyes would work fine as well. I suggest using the spiderweb embroidery technique to create round eyes.
