With this in mind, I designed Dancing Embers.  This pattern features a top down triangular shawl started with a garter tab cast-on.  A triangle is constructed on each side of the shawl separated by a stockinette center stitch.  The design starts out with a simple lace pattern with optional beading that looks more intricate as the shawl grows.
