Something small but simple, that would be quick to make so she would get an instant high when she finished it and want to make something else!!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAfter a little discussion we agreed on a coaster.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe coaster features a very simple pattern using -\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003egarter stitch - knit every stitch on every row reverse garter stitch - purl every stitch on every row double rib - K2, P2\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eYou can follow the pattern exactly as written to make a square coaster or work some extra rows for a wide coaster so there’s room for a mug and a biscuit!!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI used double knit and 4mm needles, but you could make it with aran for a slightly larger version, or 4 ply for a smaller one - unless you want to play with the number of stitches of course!!
