As the parent of a rainbow obsessed 5 year old, I happened to have a full spectrum rainbow of scraps, however this can also be made with just 1 or 2 contrast colors if desired.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAlthough this is knit flat, a circular needle is required for slipping stitches back and forth.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe large gray shawl has a wingspan of 74\" (188cm), and used 150g (525 yards) of main color, and a total of 50g (185 yards) of contrast color, with 18 stripes.
