I made this pretty little baby hat and mitt set for a gift for a friend who is expecting a baby girl in the next few days.
You can easily swap up the colors to make this set appropriate for both boys and girls.
The shell stitches are very lovely in a solid color as well - making it super easy to crochet without any color changes.
The entire set is worked flat and then seamed.

The pattern is written in American (English) crochet terms. You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern – just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size of your project will also be different.
