Product Details
It is a mournful truth that not all children like to wash their faces. Adding a bit of fun to the process with a sweet character who is wise at washing can help the process along.
This simple pattern is also fabulous for using up scraps of fun fur left over from larger toy projects or for that skein given by the non-knitting friend who didn’t know it wasn’t your usual choice of fibre.
Pattern contains Full written instructions and both a chart and written instructions for the colour work. Links to tutorials for cast on method, twisting yarns for the intarsia and how to fold a piece of felt to make the beak.
Notions Tapestry needle to weave in yarns Felt or embroidery thread for beak (and eyes if for a child under 3) Buttons for eyes
Yarn: I used Sirdar Snowflake chunky in cream and biege. Any chunky fun fur yarn in two contrasting colours will work here and some alternatives are listed. You only need a very small anount of contrast yarn so scraps are also an option for the second colour.
