This is such a versatile baby blanket - you can start working on the blanket in a neutral colour as soon as you hear about the pregnancy, no need to wait until you know if it is a boy or a girl. Simply add the colour accent later when you choose the ribbon. Now it will fit perfectly in the newly painted nursery room!
The body of this blanket is super-easy. If you can make a single crochet and a double crochet, you can do the bobble stitch, no special techniques needed. The bobble stitch (also sometimes called popcorn stitch) creates a lovely texture that is lightweight and warm.
The border requires intermediate skills, but if you are an adventurous beginner, there are over 40 photo's to guide you.
Different sizes and info on yarn substitution is included.
At the end of the pattern, the pattern text is repeated without the photo's in a printer-friendly version, you can consult the photo's on your tablet or computer if you get stuck.
