Meridian is an asymmetric scarf design ideal for using solid and multicolored fingering weight yarns together in one project. Or pick two solid colors! Knit on the bias, this pattern features eyelets and lots of garter stitch. Size is adjustable, just use more yarn for a larger scarf! Sample scarf knit in fingering weight yarn and shown on US size 12 dress form. Enjoy!
Materials needed: (minimum amounts)
400 yards Solid Colorway fingering or DK weight yarn
200 yards Multi Colorway fingering or DK weight yarn
3.25mm (US3 / UK10) needles or 4.00mm (US6 / UK 8) needles if using DK weight yarn
Stitches used:
garter stitch
slip one stitch
knit into front and back
yarn over needle
Size (after blocking): 58 inches across top edge 15 inches deep
