I love ripple blankets, and this one is just a perfect gift for a new baby. I love these pastel colours, they put me in mind of Ice cream flavours, Vanilla, mint, strawberry, and peach, lemon and blackcurrant sorbet! The white lacey inserts are the whipped cream! It can, of course, be knit in any colours, rainbow brights would be fabulous, It would alos work really well in just 2 colours, maybe navy blue with lime or mustard, or even just random colours to use up your stash or leftovers……It knits up beautifully quickly, and is a very simple pattern that even beginners can manage.
