It's not like the quality of the yarn is bad but it makes an incredibly stiff fabric. While that is good for baskets, its not really what I wanted for the purse I am making and leaves giant gaps in the stitches. Maybe I need a different stitch or a different hook, but if the gaps are that big in sc, I would hate to see them in dc, which was my intended stitch.
