The pattern can be customized by using different yarns, needle sizes, or adding repeats to the pattern.
Yarn – any, ranging from Lace to Sport. I used almost 250g / 835m / 913 yards of Garnstudio Drops BabyAlpaca Silk on US 4 / 3.5mm needles and to obtain a shawl that measures 162 cm x 46 cm (64 x 18 inches) blocked.
Needles – any size according to what yarn you use and which will give you light fabric with drape.
Gauge is not crucial and depends on the yarn and needles you choose to knit with.
Skills - provisional cast on, twisted stitches (tbl), yarnovers, ssk and k2tog.
