The Gingerbread House Tea Cosy knitting pattern is a gloriously festive knitting project to make an amazing tea cosy that is just perfect for Christmas.
The main part of the house is the main part of the tea cosy, and then the roof is knitted separately. The knitting stitch for the tiles is an easy slip stitch pattern, and it looks fantastic, as if it was decorated with icing.
The spout and handle are at the sides of the house and the front and back of the gingerbread house have the gable ends of the roof. Gable ends are very important with gingerbread houses because its lovely to see the icing dripping down like icicles, in this case its knitted icicles.
