This garment fits loosely across bust, but close around waist.
Do you have a collection of odd balls? This is a great way to play with those yarns! (Also see Fun stripe cardi 404) I used 7 different novelty yarns, all different weights. They average themselves out to be a nice loose fabric. Tension is not too important as you are knitting sideways (your width).
Approx: 690 (766, 922, 1004, 1181) m / 755 (838, 1008, 1098, 1292) yds total of all yarns
Tension gauge: 12 sts and 17 rows = 10 cm / 4" over St st, using 8mm needles, striping 2 rows of each yarn (loose tension). And 22 sts and 24 rows = 10 cm / 4" over 1X1 rib, using 5.5mm needles, striping 2 rows each yarn.
Single Crochet and Chain are used to finish edges.
