When my daughters friend and sister in law were both diagnosed with cancer earlier this year in their early 30s my daughter was devastated . She asked me if I could make her a couple of chemo hats as her friend in particular was so upset when she started to loose her hair.
The sun flower I’ve used on this hat is a symbol of friendship but also in China people associate the beautiful sunflower with long life, good fortune and vitality. Basically all the things we wish on any cancer sufferer.
I’m offering this pattern as a free down load to anyone who needs it as I believe in ‘paying things forward’.
They have been knitted In King Cole Cotton soft yarn and are beautifully soft and gentle on the skin.
