I love the cake style yarn balls currently available. This design is a square using a single full cake in a repeating pattern.
When the last round is completed, measure your work, and follow a simple calculation to find the most appropriate size cushion / pillow pad - or work the calculation in reverse for the size of piece you'll need to cover your chosen pad.
Wrap your square around the cushion / pillow pad, and seam to complete.
