So many fingerless mitts just have a slit for the thumb opening. This mitt shows you how to make a gusset (an enlarged area) for the thumb opening so that the mitt has a more tailored fit. Size Small can be made from the Women's Mitt pattern by using 28 FSC instead of 30.
