Aran Lattice Beanie

This Aran Lattice beanie is knit in the round, using two sizes of circular needles (US8 & US9; or 5mm and 5.5mm). It is a modern take on a traditional Aran motif, and gives impressive results for what are easy to follow instructions! This pattern would suit improver knitters who would like to try an all-over motif, or experienced knitters who enjoy seeing a pattern flow from ribbing to crown. Experienced knitters might particularly enjoy using the instructions to create a stunning two-tone hat.

The hat is sized for an adult, but instructions are given on adjusting the stitch count to create a smaller or larger hat. Gauge is not hugely important for this beanie; the fabric has some stretch and is a forgiving fit. The hat is seamless, as it is knit in the round, and is super soft and comfortable to wear! Any Aran yarn should be suitable for this pattern. One 100g skein should be just enough for one hat, I would suggest a requirement of 100 metres/110 yards of yarn.
