The pattern includes written instructions and charts for knitting in the round small, medium and large pumpkins (it is not necessary to read charts).
The pumpkin size depends on the yarn, knitting tension and filling density. In order to keep fabric tight enough so that the stuffing won’t show through, use needles smaller than recommended for the yarn.

Pumpkin may be knit in any yarn (weight, fiber etc), this information is just for example:
Gauge: 24st and 36r = 10cm
Yarn: 27-87 meters of any DK-weight Yarn e.g.: Sirdar Snuggly Replay DK (50% Cotton, 50% Acrylic; 50 grams / 150 meters (164yds)) For stem: ~2 m of yarn in a different color.
Needles (DPNs or circular): №3 — 3.5, depends on your knitting tension
Approximate size of the resulting pumpkin and how much yarn is needed for it:
Small: d ~ 8,5cm, 9 g — 27 m
Medium: d ~ 11,5cm, 15 g — 45 m
Large: d ~ 15cm, 29 g — 87 m
