I loved this sweater as soon as I saw the pattern and knew I had to give it a go! Normally I would make a L/XL for myself and after careful measuring went for the M/L size. It suggested going up a hook size to make it roomier - which I did - but of course it meant that each square was slightly bigger. Anyway - long story short - when finished - it SWAMPED me - more like a dress with extra long sleeves!! I was devastated. It took me a week to unpick and remove all the excess squares to make it the SMALL size - and it's still roomy on me!! With the excess squares I took off - I have made a 6x6 sq blanket and still have some left over!! Also the instructions and video for joining are not very clear - in hindsight I could have done it so much more easily and got the same effect and used less yarn!! Anyway, now it's finished, I love it and would make it again - but the small size (and I'm a generous Large!!!) I might make a winter version ;)

    Nadeln

    • Crochet Hook 4.50mm (US 7)

    Accessoires

    • Sticknadeln
Andere : The blanket was made with the left-over squares removed from the sweater and oddments of yarn to complete.

    Maße

    Small/Med

Notizen I originally made the Large but had to change it as it was much too big! I also had to supplement the ecru yarn to make the Large size which I wouldn't have needed to do if I had made the smaller size initially. (see my intro)

This top looks gorgeous. It sounds like you have put a lot of work into making it, but the finished result is beautiful. Well done!!

Love your top, but how frustrating for you. At least you'll know if you make another one.
