The pattern has an easy to remeber 3 row pattern. These 3 rows will be approx 1.5" after blocking. I have made the shawl with a 40" drop but you can make it as long as you like. The edging is made on 2 rows.
There is no gauge as such but if you crochet tightly you may want to use a 5mm hook. Block your shawl larger than you require as it will rebound a bit when unpinned do to the nature of this type of yarn. You don't have to block this shawl but I find it makes the pattered row stand out more.
I used a 4mm hook and 400g Robin Picasso DK for this project. Any double knit should be suitable.
