Thunder and Lightning is a top-down constructed faroese shawl. The side panels in garter stitch make it a quick knit while the center and border panel featuring a beautiful lace pattern add some interest. It offers charted as well as written instructions. Tech-edited by Kristen TenDyke and cupani, and test-knit by bgow, sherryglover1, Jlblapeer, soxvixen and LisaCinFl.
Thunder and Lightning is the name of the lace pattern. I found it in a German stitch dictionary and immediately fell in love with it.
Skills needed: Decreases (k2tog, ssk, p2tog, ssp) YO Left and Right Backwards Loop CO (explained in the pattern)
