This cowl is light and warm. It is worked from the outside edge to the neck. The raised spiral ridge adds an extra dimension to the fabric. Three options for shaping the neck of the cowl are included.
This cowl takes approximately 200 yards of yarn. The featured picture is of a sample knit in Noro Silk Garden Sock. The pictures also show Spiral Cowls in Jorstad Creek Whidbey, Crystal Palace Sausalito, Spincycle Dyed in the Wool and Jorstad Creek Catalina. Both sport and fingering weight yarns work well. Of the yarns sold by LoveKnitting with long color changes, I recommend Noro Silk Garden Sock, Lousia Harding Amitola and Lang Yarns Mille Colori Baby.
