Pattern Description:
This adorable sleeping polar bear gift basket is great for kids, adults, teachers, co-workers or anyone who likes polar bears. The hat acts as a lid to hide gifts or treats inside. It can also be used as a secreat stash container, a desk organizer, nursery or kids room decor. And if you like to give homemade unwrapped treats, a jar can be slipped inside to protect the food.
The basket measures approximately 13" around on the outside and is 41/2" high. With the hat on the total height is approximately 10" high.
A great scrap buster project as it only uses 2 oz or less each color.
The pattern uses 2 strands of worsted weight yarn held together. Bulky weight yarn can be substitued. However you will need 1 strand of worsted weight yarn for the nose. You will also need it for the eye details and the pompom. So you want to be sure you can match the colors if you use both weights of yarn.
I used a safety nose you can stich a nose on or substitute a button in its place.
