Portobello
Inspired by summer days spent at the seaside with waves breaking gently on the shoreline, accompanied by comfy deck chairs and delicious ice cream. The shawl shaping creates a ripple of garter stitch that hugs the shoulders, keeping you warm as the cool breeze blows over you. The delicate, but easy to knit, lace border adds a touch of lightness to the sumptuous folds of each garter wedge.

Ginger’s Hand Dyed Luscious 4ply (4ply; 70% Blue Faced Leicester, 20% silk, 10% cashmere; 400m/437 yds per 100g skein)
- Shade MC: Breakfast with Ginger, 1 x 100g skein
- Shade CC: Melon Balls on Fire, 1 x 100g skein
Sample used 70g (280m / 306 yds) of both the main colour and contrast colour.
- 3.5mm (US4) circular, cable length at least 80cm (31in)
- 4 mm (US 6) circular, cable length at least 80cm (31in)
Gauge
20sts and 42 rows to 10cm / 4” in garter stitch knitted flat, using 3.5mm needles, blocked.
