PILO is a basic and minimalistic cardigan which comes in a huge variety of sizes. The Name is a mix of my daughters names (Pippa and Lotta), but as it’s designed for boys and girls I wanted a gender neutral name. It’s knitted seamlessly top down in stockinette stitch, button plackets and buttonholes are worked as you go. You start at the neck, work increases along the raglan seams (optional you can highlight the raglan seam with some decorative knitted eyelets), put your sleeve stitches on hold and finish the body. Pick up again the sleeve stitches and finish your sleeves in the round. That’s it! It’s very simple, topdown, beginner-friendly piece of knitting.
Gauge: 26st/36r - 10/10 cm in stockinette stitch with larger needle size
Yarn: fingeringweight f.e. Drops NORD 186 yds (170m) / 50 grams (45% Alpaca, 30% Nylon / Polyamide, 25% Wool) or Drops Baby Merino (50g/175m), 100% Wool
